Are you feeling moisty and uncomfortable these days? Even though the room temperature is cool at night, your clothes are still damp with sweat. Don't worry, sweating will soon dissipate gradually.

Sweat during pregnancy

💦When does sweating start?

Pregnancy is a bumpy ride.🤰 You'll experience sweat in the first trimester, third trimester and postpartum when hormonal swing is at its peak.😟

💦What causes sweating?

The hormonal shifts confuse the hypothalamus, making it think that it is hot☀️ outside despite the cold temperature and triggering sweating as a mechanism to cool you down.😰

Increased blood circulation🩸 in your body also makes you feel warmer. You might feel your body warm up like a bear during summer soon.😃

What to do about excessive sweating

💦Keep hydrated

You're losing water🥛 when you sweat a lot, which can make you feel dizzy and faint. Stock a bottle of water with you and drink when you're thirsty.😃

💦Stay out of the sun and in air-conditioned rooms

Fans don't work when you're constantly sweating. Turn on the air conditioner to cool you down.😃 Avoid hot spaces like saunas or hot tubs this time.🛀

💦Avoid working out in the heat of the day

Vigorous exercises only make you sweat more.🏃‍♀️ Gentle walking in the early morning or evening is a much better option. Taking a dip in the pool may also help relieve swelling in your feet and ankle too.😃

💦Wear loose, light clothing

Natural fabrics or cotton are more comfortable than other kinds. Loose clothes👚 made up of these materials protect you from being damp in sweat and keep your body cool.😁
